WELCOME TO THE WELLNESS FARMER PODCAST

WHERE YOUR HEALTH IS MADE SIMPLE ONE EPISODE AT A TIME!!

Oct 26, 2017

On todays episode, which happens to fall on wellness week I share with you a conversation I had with Linda McGurk about her new book, There’s No Such Thing as Bad Weather: A Scandinavian Mom’s Secrets for Raising Healthy, Resilient, and Confident Kids. We had a great conversation on ways we can bring up our kids in todays world of technology.

The ecosystem we call earth has a very important role in our health and Linda gives a couple reasons why in todays conversation like:

  • How Dirt is actually good for you.
  • Nature helps build a strong body and mind.
  • It helps build better physical and social health through risky play.
  • It helps build Environmentally-conscious children among other things.

In last weeks episode I talked about mothers and how they are important in our health, especially in our young years. I know the health I have today has a lot to do with the way my parents raised me. If we want healthy adults we not only need to teach them what health and wellness is but provide it to them in their developing years. Enjoy this great conversation I had with Linda!
