Today I continue our conversation about emotional health and what we can do to achieve emotional health in the wellness paradigm.

One element that will help us achieve it is changing our internal environment.  Can anyone argue that behavior that harms oneself is innate!  This is not logical in any perspective.  We are no more genetically designed to be consistently depressed, angry, resentful, ungrateful, unforgiving and unkind than we are to get cancer, heart disease, diabetes or obesity.

We need to understand that as humans, we are innately intelligent and naturally healthy.  Healthy is normal and normal is optimal.  With that understanding we then need to find intellectually and emotionally healthy people and replicate their intellectual and emotional lifestyle choices.

Being healthy and happy, loving ourselves and others and having a life purpose and goals to achieve it are natural, innate human attributes.

Being unhealthy and sad, having low self esteem, resenting ourselves or others and failing to define our life purpose are unnatural, environmental stressors, these things represent toxicity and deficiency.
